Royal visits and Coronation celebrations in Sussex by the Sea

Union Flag bunting will adorn street parties and celebratory events to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on the 6th May and over the Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May 2023.

 

The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. His Majesty will be crowned alongside Her Majesty The Queen Consort and The Duke of Norfolk whose home is Arundel Castle will be overseeing the official proceedings in his role as Earl Marshal.

 

If you are planning your own celebrations, learn more about the coronation at the official website at: https://coronation.gov.uk/ it has all you might need to help you and your loved ones enjoy this great occasion. Discover the Coronation’s history, national plans for the weekend and how you can get involved too. The weekend will include Coronation Big Lunches, a Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle and a special Bank Holiday Monday giving everyone the opportunity to join in with their communities and good causes through The Big Help Out activities.
