    A great place to start is the Wildlife Garden where you’ll find the new Ranger Camp.

    Here you can learn to send secret messages, find water and tie bush craft knots. Then set off into the wild for the map & compass challenge and hunt for animal tracks! Or find out how to forage for natural remedies.

    Pick up your Ranger Log Book at the admissions desk and collect stamps for each challenge you complete.

    There are activities for younger and older kids so its fun for the whole family.

    Time: 9.30 am - 5 pm

  2. Temporary Exhibition - Tangmere and the SOE

  3. Summer events at Pagham Harbour and other RSPB sites in and around Sussex by the Sea

    Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve  is a glorious and peaceful nature reserve, one of the few undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coast, and an internationally important wetland site for wildlife.

    There's a huge range of activities taking place at the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds)sites in and around Sussex by the Sea this summer.

    Medmerry - the RSPB's newest nature reserve with long walks and cycle rides through an amazing new landscape only a stone's throw from Pagham Harbour.

    Amberley Wildbrooks The floodplain of the River Arun extends across a broad sweep of undisturbed wet grassland, intersected with wildlife-rich ditches, surrounded by woodlands, and overlooked by the South Downs.

    Pulborough Brooks  a fantastic day out for people of all ages. Walks lead through hedge-lined paths to viewing areas and hides where volunteers are often on hand to help point out the wildlife.Visitor Centre 9.30am-5pm daily, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The nature trail is open daily sunrise to sunset, except Christmas Day.

    Bracklesham Bay lowland wet grassland immediately behind a shingle bank seawall, part of the Bracklesham Bay Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

    Pilsey Island  a wide range of coastal habitats; intertidal sandflats and mudflats, fore dunes and yellow dunes, bare and vegetated shingle and saltmarsh.There is no access to the reserve itself, but it can easily be viewed from surrounding rights of way.The reserve can be viewed at all times, but please note that access to the Thorney Island MoD Base may be denied for military security reasons.

    Langstone Harbour  a muddy estuary that attracts large numbers of birds all year round. Terns, gulls and wading birds descend to breed on the islands in spring and summer, while thousands of waders and brent geese migrate from the Arctic to feed and roost in safety here.

    Adur Estuary The small reserve is composed of saltmarsh and mudflats that afford a good feeding and roosting site for waders and wildfowl. The reserve has no facilities as such, but it can be readily viewed from the surrounding footpaths and rewarding views can be had from Coronation Green, which is situated near the town centre of Shoreham-by-Sea.

  4. Arundel Museum Summer Art Exhibition

    Details

    Arundel Museum presents its Summer Exhibition 2018 of artworks created by students aged 15 -18 years from local secondary schools.

    The individually chosen 80 GCSE and A level examination pieces that form the exhibition have been selected from more than 1000 artworks.

    *** The participating schools are: Bishop Luffa CE School, Chichester High School, Christ's Hospital, Lancing College, The Regis Academy, Slindon College and St. Philip Howard Catholic High School. ***

    The exhibition in the Jubilee Gallery runs from 6th August - 2nd September daily from 10am to 4pm, and is also part of Arundel Festival and Arundel Art Trail which takes place during the exhibition period.
